Small is the existence of one man, but art is the opportunity it has to express his greatness.

Since childhood in my hands felt an uncontrollable desire to express myself and almost playing, I started to draw, to make figures with anything, anything to allow me to express myself and give out those emotions, to the cry that I came from the mind and heart. Did not take long to realize that my life was devoted to sculpture, my passion and my rest.

Benito was born in Mexico City in 1951. From the ten years manifest themselves through art, their artistic skills. Soon know that this was his way, but the means to find it. Always restless and seeking, steps schools and workshops and engraving plastics, and even dramatic, until you see the sculpture. San Carlos Academy, the National Institute of Fine Arts, National Autonomous University of Mexico, the Casa de Cultura de Oaxaca would realize his artistic training. From 1981 began to make public his work, meetings and exhibitions. In his formative years he realizes how little support is given to the development of art and not forgotten. Thus, in 1981 founded together with other artists, Free Graphic Workshop Oaxaca and in 1983, in the city of Taxco, is cofounder of the Institute of Fine Arts and began Taxco his work as a teacher.

Taxco, universal cultural heritage, mining town, known in the secular world for its architectural beauty and for being one of the global pool of money, is where Benito, in 1985, decided to install his personal production studio. Taxco is the place to give free rein to their creativity, where his hands will move with skill, talent and discipline, using silver as an element of his sculptures along with various materials to give life to these images, beings and forms a mixture of Greco-Roman and Aztec mythology. Giving rise to its own cosmology and style.

Here in this place nestled in the foothills of the mountains of Guerrero, is where Benedict begins his successful stage production, their hands always looking shape and volume of his art.
